Centennial History Exhibit – 100 Years, 100 Objects
Our history exhibition this year – Opening on mid April and running through January 2025, the 100 Years, 100 Objects exhibition is a must-see for every family in Boone County. The exhibition will include a 1925 Ford Model T, an 1880s covered wagon, John W. “Blind” Boone’s diamond-encrusted gold pocket watch, Jane Froman’s fur coat, a Civil War soldier’s diary, letters penned by two American Presidents, and much more.

Volunteers lead with their hearts and train the next generation to embrace their unique strengths. Explore the histories of 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire U.S.A., and hear stories about locals who dedicated their lives to helping others unlock their potential.

Each spring when the grass was four inches tall pioneers knew they could start their journey west. Stop by to learn about the trails in mid-Missouri, try out items they would have carried in their wagon and hear inspiring stories of how settlers overcame hardships along the journey.
Special guests will join us from trail organizations across the state.
Family Event: Spinning and Weaving
Wool spinning- Learn about the process it takes to turn wool and cotton into clothes. View items used in that process. Then try your hand at carding and spinning wool and cotton. Make a little weaving of your own to take home.

“Popsicle Fest” is July 13! The Popsicle Fest will be a free, family-oriented event with food and live music that gives a nod to another 100th anniversary – the 1924 invention of the popsicle.
