About

City of Columbia’s Annual Heritage Festival & Craft Show at Nifong Park

Join us for the City of Columbia’s annual Heritage Festival & Craft Show, a two-day celebration of music, food, crafts, art, history and community at Nifong Park.

Explore Boone History Village during this special festival weekend, when all of the historic buildings will be open to the public for free, self-guided tours. Wander through the village at your own pace, step inside historic spaces and discover the stories, artifacts and details that bring Boone County’s past to life.

The Historic Maplewood House will also be open for guided tours led by knowledgeable volunteers. Beyond the village, visitors can enjoy handmade crafts and local goods, live music, festival food, our current art exhibit “In The Fold” at The Montminy Art Gallery and history exhibits “Play” and “Can I Get That In Print?” inside the Boone County History & Culture Center.

Families can also stop by Boone Youth Explorers on the veranda outside the History & Culture Center for hands-on activities and fun for young visitors throughout the festival.

Whether you are a longtime festivalgoer or visiting for the first time, there is plenty to see and discover at this favorite Columbia tradition.
