The WE Project is a multimedia series of photographs that shines a restorative light on people belonging to marginalized communities in Missouri. It is also a collaborative platform to foster intersectional dialogue. One photograph at a time, one voice at a time, one dialogue at a time, the WE Project seeks a world of inclusivity and equity.

We see you for who you are.

Black and brown people, immigrants and refugees, Native Americans, L.G.B.T.Q. people, religious minorities, people with disabilities, the homeless (the list is not exhaustive) all share a history of systemic discrimination. With the rise in extremism since 2016 it has become even more vital that they be unconditionally embraced within the tapestry of our humanity.

The WE Project seeks to celebrate people belonging to marginalized communities, but also give each participant a platform for telling their story in their own voice.

We hear you as who you are.

The WE Project seeks to help bridge the gaps between these diverse communities through intersectional dialogue. It also seeks to engage the community at large in a necessary and urgent conversation about diversity and equity.

We are one in who we are.

In accepting each other in our differences we are all stronger.

This is who WE are.
