About
Who Keeps Our Stories When We’re Gone?
Wednesday, September 2
5:30-6:30 p.m.
The Montminy Gallery inside the Boone County History & Culture Center
Inspired by Marcellus’s collection of treasures and Tova’s childhood home in “Remarkably Bright Creatures,” Boone County History and Culture Center staff will discuss preservation and curation – what objects we preserve, how we preserve them, and why. How does a local museum create space for stories, memories and connection? What family heirlooms and sentimental items do we keep and pass on?
One Read, coordinated by the Daniel Boone Regional Library (DBRL), is a community-wide reading program sponsored by a task force of local media and community agencies. This comprehensive program involves cities, counties, media, schools and businesses in encouraging adults of all ages to read one book and participate in thought-provoking discussion and activities.
Free admission and open to the public.
