About
In the Fold: Fiber Art Journals celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship of members of the Missouri Fiber Artists Association through a collection of handmade accordion-fold journals. Created over the course of a year-long collaborative project, each journal reflects monthly themes such as growth, resilience, and personal reflection, interpreted through a wide range of fiber art techniques.
Embroidery, weaving, appliqué, felting, quilting, printing, painting, and mixed-media processes come together to transform fabric and thread into deeply personal visual narratives. Though intimate in scale, each journal invites close examination, revealing intricate details, rich textures, and thoughtful storytelling.
Displayed together, these unique works highlight both the shared inspiration and individual voices of more than 20 Missouri fiber artists, demonstrating the expressive possibilities of fiber as a powerful artistic and storytelling medium.
